File name vs number
« on: November 11, 2013, 09:56:02 PM »
They said it is better to have my extension domain to its original file name than the short ones (number or date) when it comes to search engine. Is this true?

Yes, file name of the article post is better than numbers when it comes to search engine friendly term especially if the file name also includes the keywords of your website.

Yes, it is definitely way better to use your domain name extension as file name because it makes your posts legitimately yours rather than having it in bare numbers only. It will make your website look more polished and professional too, so I highly suggest you to do this on your posts.

I agree with the previous posts. It is better to use a file name as the title of your blog. It would be better if the file name contains keywords that people look for.

The search engines will also index your blog and the articles you have written easily than if you were using numbers.

I suggest that you choose not the name of the file but the domain name as they will make your site more visible in the internet. This will make your website ore noticeable in the internet and would actually help in your ranking as this will become your keyword in the SEO.
