Protectors

Which parts of the body should be covered by thick protectors for hockey players? I'm just curious because seems to me every part of their body is covered by pads or something.

It's such a high-impact and high-risk sports even the referees, coaches, and officials wear shin protectors and other protective gear for their safety.

The parts that need the most protection are shoulders, elbows, forearms, and shins. Even players' gloves have padding to protect their hands from being injured. They also use mouth guards and helmet.

Special attention is given to goaltenders. Since their job is to block a puck moving at over 100 miles per hour, they use chest protection and special masks with neck support.
