The risks of eating food contaminated with salmonella and other bacteria may be higher at restaurants than at home. While some restaurants may serve you with yesterday's menu, it pays to check how hygienic the restaurant is. Food preparation is the key to having clean and safe food. If ingredients are not fresh or you have a dirty kitchen, the potential risk of food poisoning is ever present - whether in a restaurant or at home.
