charcoal or gas?

Please help me to choose for the best which produces better tasting food charcoal or gas?

If you are using charcoal, only a hint of it comes from the charcoal. If you are using gas, the smoke is invisible. But when it comes to direct heat grilling, which is generally fast, the fact is that, if all things are equal such as cooking temperature, I can’t tell the difference in the taste between charcoal and gas grilled food. But I look the appearance look of a grilled food in a charcoal.

This seems to be an age old question and to be honest there might not be a definitive answer Gas grills are generally more expensive than electric or charcoal, with charcoal being the cheapest. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then charcoal might better to choose.
