Yes but it is optional for homeowners. However, you can check with your home insurance if renovation jobs are covered by the company. If it is, then there is no need for you to get a separate insurance for improvement work alone. But in case you see the necessity of getting one, well, you can always apply for an insurance coverage before you begin work.

That’s right; you can buy home insurance that covers construction and renovation jobs at home. Although it is optional, you can also buy a separate insurance coverage for renovation or improvement alone.  In any case, you can always buy insurance for your need; all you have to do is find a good company.
