Where do you usually have your tattoo done? Do you choose the design yourself or you rely on the ideas of your tattoo artists?

I get my tattoos from a friend who does tattoos. Hee. She doesn't really have a shop, she just does it in her home. Her style is more feminine than the usual tattoo artists' designs so and I ask her to make the designs of some of my tattoos. The others, I design myself.

I get designs from my friend’s tattoo artist but I give him the instructions regarding what I want. For instance, I give him words and he will give symbols to signify them. It always is about working together to incorporate a design that I want. I don’t want to get a tattoo that has no significant meaning in my life.
