Computing a payable accounts
« on: November 27, 2013, 06:14:36 PM »
My dad is an accountant. I have read some of his works earlier and it made me think about hard it is to compute an accounts that is payable. How is a voucher used in accounts payable?

I don't know anything about accounting, but based on my understanding, a voucher is usually prepared after a vendor’s invoice has been matched with the company’s purchase order and receiving report. It's all about the payee/vendor name, discount term, the amount and date to be paid, the general ledger account numbers to be charged.

Accounting indeed is a very daunting job. Ever since my professor in College made us do some accounting sheets for I am Management student, I was almost given up at the thought of finishing college. Really so stress*l and if you are not focus, one mistake on a sheet you will have to repeat all the work you had started from the very beginning.
