« on: November 23, 2013, 11:22:27 PM »
I wonder why almost all the Bollywood films regardless of their genre have the signature mob ala musicale in the plot, in the beginning, in the end, or in between. Any kindly enlighten me?

I've noticed it too! I guess the background score or music plays a huge role in bollywood movies. I think music is the soul of their movies, because their kind of movies is almost incomplete without a song. So in my perception, the actors, dancers and location make the songs come alive every time. This makes the film unique and extra*ant.

I think it's kind of irritating. What are they playing anyway? I mean I don't get the idea of singing all of the sudden. I like Bollywood movies, but what I don't like is that Broadway musical part in their every movie. I still don't know why they have to mix singing with their scripts. It's better to be just natural.
