Less Money

Do you think that musicians get less money nowadays since their fans can just download their music from the internet for free?

Musicians earn royalties from each album or CD sales but because of illegal downloading, musicians, producers and other people in the entertainment industry are earning less. This is why people in the music and entertainment industry are telling consumers to buy the real thing.

If you want to download a song, choose iTunes since the Apple can charge you for only $0.99 and the artist and is paid a royalty fee.

I really don’t think it matters to famous musicians at all. I remember Lars Ulrich made a scene when their fans downloaded their songs from Napster, and for a while he became tho most hated guy in rock and roll. And according to the four kids from South Park, even if fans download their songs, they still pay a large amount of money just to watch the favorite musicians live.
