How does it work?

How do SMS mailing lists work? Sorry, I am a cell phone newbie and believe it or not I really don't know how to use mobile phone. I mean, I just know the basic.

SMS messages can be sent via an SMS mailing list. It is a list of appropriate recipients and senders for  the exchange of information to happen. A mailing list can have 10 recipients or over millions depending on the scope and the gravity of the information being exchanged. This works like an email mailing list where your desired information from the group you subscribe to gets sent to your email.
