« on: November 13, 2013, 05:01:07 PM »
There are different types of batteries nowadays. I am changing the batteries of my flashlight. Between Alkaline and Lithium; which type of battery will carry out better in a LED flashlight?

Alkaline and lithium batteries have different chemical makeup and voltage ranges. Back then, lithium batteries were only sold as the coin-type option. Now, it has moved to being produced as AA batteries and AAA batteries. Note that lithium batteries produce twice the voltage of alkaline batteries. Note also that unlike lithium ion batteries that are rechargeable, lithium batteries cannot be recharged. We are not allowed to carry lithium batteries on airplanes as banned by the Transportation Security Administration due to discharge risks if these batteries short circuit.
