Changing the brakes?
« on: November 12, 2013, 04:50:21 PM »
I am driving my father’s vintage car and I like the engine performance of it. But I’m afraid of these old parts that it might get a problem while I’m driving along the highway. How often should brakes be changed?

There is really no hard and fast rule on when the brakes should be replaced since the replacement would depend on how often you use the car and your driving style.

I would suggest that you regularly check the brake pads and the stopping power of the brakes. You can also check the brake fluid container. If it dips below the recommended level, your pads might need replacing. You will also hear some metal-to-metal screeching sound every time you need to replace the brakes.
