Choice of movies
« on: October 08, 2013, 12:24:00 PM »
My son has this p*ion on movies. He told me, when he grows up he wants to be a film director. He is only 9 years old. At a very young age he already knows how to appreciate movies. What other movie besides cartoon movies shall I recommend my son? I want something less unkind movies for him.

You may get him started by books that has a film adaptation that is catered to his age. The vampire's *istant is one example. This way he can appreciate literature and film at the same time. But, always tell your son that film and literature will always have a different approach because they are different types of medium that shouldn't be compared. :)

What about The Lord of the Rings trilogy?  That is something that your son will definitely enjoy. I’m not sure if that is what you would label a “less unkind movie” but being an adventure fantasy movie it’s bound to have some fighting and gore in it. As long as he doesn’t watch those provocative HBO series they show on cable.
