Mythology / Mythology and Religion
« on: November 05, 2013, 03:12:27 PM »
Do you think that most of the religions today are based on mythology? Just look at the Roman Catholic Church, most of its rituals are based on the old Egyptian ceremonies for the sun-god.

News and Rumors / D-League
« on: November 05, 2013, 03:10:18 PM »
It was reported that Lamar Odom was supposed to play the NBA's D-League to help him get back into shape. Do you think it was justifiable for the Dallas Mavericks to do that?

Opinion / Re: What do you think about Jeremy Lin?
« on: November 05, 2013, 03:07:58 PM »
Why do you guys hate him? Do you have any particular reason to do that?

Jeremy Lin never asked to be liked by everyone. He just wants to play the game. I think that is what separates those who have a life and those who don't. People who are well-known and have done something for themselves don't really pay attention to the haters while people struggling to make a living just hate those who have achieved success.

As the old saying goes; those beneath you can't hurt you, your equals wouldn't.

Hammers & Striking Tools / Re: Hammer Handles

I would think that rubber is still the best when it comes to hammer handles. Rubber does not chip off or break. It does not slide easily and the rubber absorbs most of the impact when you strike the hammer.

It may be quite expensive initially, but I think it is worth the price.

Investment Services / Re: Following a fad

If investment companies are following a fad, then I suggest you don't invest in them. What happens if the fad becomes p*e? Your investment will not yield high returns for you.

I would suggest that you invest in companies that you know and that you are sure will continue to grow.

Foreign Exchange Services / Re: Foreign exchange before travel

I think your dollar will go a long way in Bangkok than here in the US. I suggest that you don't exchange your money in the airport; rather, ask the hotel where you are staying for a re*ble foreign exchange company. Since Thailand is promoting tourism, you can be sure that these hotels will only lead you to those foreign exchange companies they can trust.

Types / Re: Fliptop Phone
« on: November 05, 2013, 02:56:45 PM »
Are you referring to those Samsung phones? If you are, I think they are still available. I suggest that you check out a Samsung store and ask if they have the phones used in The Departed.

Since the movie was shown only a couple of years ago, those phones may be dirt-cheap now.

Building Sets / Re: * Nephew

What does his sexuality have to do with your present? How old is your nephew by the way?

Anyway, I would suggest that you give him something that he can use to learn. I would suggest that you give him a book or a puzzle. Probably a board game like Monopoly or Chess. You can also try Duplo.
