You can have you training on College of Staten Island’s radio station called WSIA 88.9 FM. I have a cousin who studied from a different college and she took her training in WSIA 88.9 because she loves the radio station! You can call them at 718-982-3050 so that you’ll know more about them. You can also listen to them now at http://wsia.fm/.

I am from Seton Hall University and I love our radio station there! The frequency is WSOU 89.5 FM. You and your friend will love having your training there because they’ll really help you out to know more about Broadcasting! I was a volunteer once for them, and they let me handle a certain report. I love the exposure and the people in our college! Call the WSOU’s staff and ask them for the requirements you have to p*: 973-761-9546. Warm regards!

I just heard that the New York City Public Schools needs a DJ and extra staff for their new program. This is your chance! You can check out (and listen to) their website: http://www.wnye.nycenet.edu/ or call them on 718-250-5800. If you want to listen over the radio, their frequency is: WNYE 91.5 FM.

Are you far from the Columbia University? If not, they have this amazing radio station that I still listen on if I have time. You can listen to them via online on their website http://www.wkcr.org/. Their frequency is WKCR 89.9 FM. The students were like pros on choosing the right music! And how they entertain the listeners is awesome! Call or request a song on their number 212-854-9920.

You don’t have to go too far. You can call the City College of New York on their number 212-650-7481 and ask on what you need to do to be able to have your training there. This is the best radio station I know and their frequency is WHCR 90.3 FM. They have an online radio station which is http://www.whcr.org/. Good luck to the both of you!
