Perfect timing
« on: September 07, 2013, 06:00:39 AM »
When you are planning a large family reunion to have people flying in from two different states and another country, along with people driving in - guess how long it takes to plane so everyone is at the airport at the same time? Weeks! I am thank*l that its over, but I will be waking @ 6AM to drive to another state to pick everyone up that day. Thank you American Airlines.

Yeah, something like that is not easy, and no one ever realizes the time it takes to coordinate something like that until they actually have to do it.  Good job!

That sounds like a ton of work, I don't think I could do it. We handle our family reunions differently. We schedule a time well in advance, and it's everyone's individual responsibility to get there. I hope your family appreciates all the trouble you went through! ;)

Same as Joseph, I don't see the point of making someone do all the work when everyone can take care of their travel plans. Than again that might be why some of my relatives don't like me too much :D.

Wow. How large is your family? Was it hard to plan because of everyone's work schedule, also? Even though, it was alot of work, it will be nice to see everyone. That is wonder*l that you are able to do that. A family reunion would be a big mistake in my family! LOL!

When my sister comes down from a few states up north and she brings everyone they are totting themselves in a huge van. They never go anywhere without their huge dog which is part of the need of the van with is insanely large crate.

Thanks for the warning! If I ever plan a large event like that I will know what to expect. I'll try to avoid or rearrange some of the pit falls (if possible)!

When is the best time to book an airfare to Hongkong if I want my vacation to be just before Christmas season?

How much is the airfare and hotel accommodations to Tokyo Disneyland when it's not peak season? Is it really necessary to book a hotel nearby? Because we're trying to have a cheaper one.
